Giving Way to Tears

A Bible account mentioned a event in Jesus' life when one of his dear friends unexpected fell asleep in death. Upon hearing the news, Jesus a perfect man, 'gave way to tears.'  It was a powerful testimony of how the son of God and his Father, Jehovah feels about death and losing someone to it.  It also shows that it's only natural to grieve even when there's hope. 

So last Saturday, we did.  We cried, we mourned, we remembered and then we said goodbye...for now.

Death is by no means the original purpose of God for man.  It's little wonder then that Jesus felt the way he did.  It's why one of the most beautiful truths of the Bible is the hope Jehovah God laid out for everyone who fell asleep in death...including our dear Mailyn.  It's called the resurrection of the dead and Jesus himself guaranteed it will come true (John 8:28, 29).  

So until then, my dear Mailyn, sleep well...we'll see you soon when these 'former things have passed away.' (Revelation 21:4)
