Homeschooling Year 3 Recap

As much as I would love to blog every single detail of this school year, every time they happened, it would have been wonderful!!!!  But it's been three years since I attempted and I knew it would be a lost cause again this year so a recap it is.

We busied ourselves with science experiments about the weather.

Said a tearful goodbye to our Suki as we took her to the farm down the road to enjoy the rest of her life after egging.

Still exploring nature and science with Math and Science Nucleus!

Soared to new heights and learned to be brave.

Enjoyed fall as it should be with plenty of color and water in the pond...perhaps the drought is finally over after all.

Enjoyed the company of old friends while braving Baker Beach in December....it was beautiful!

Getting more and more acquainted with basic geometry shapes.

Enjoyed this year's musical, Little Mermaid with a dear friend!

Attempted to grow mushrooms with Daddy.

Had an extra special Spring Break being in awe with the grandness of the Grand Canyon, hiking the blooming desserts of Joshua Tree National Park and being sworn in as Junior Rangers.

Competing in Lego Robotics and placing in at 11th...out of 50 competitors!

Spent the better part of Spring searching for tadpoles with no success.

Had a first demonstration in the Theocratic School.

Adventuring and enjoying the natural playgrounds of San Jose.

Elevating sewing skills after being inspired by Project Runway.

And of course, ending the year with a splash!!!

This year seemed to zoom by so quickly, perhaps because we've been so busy.  Nevertheless, I don't feel that we've reached all the goals we set up at the beginning though we still made forward strides anyway...baby steps!
