Myka is Finally Out of Quarantine!!!

A month to the day and finally Myka gets to go OUTSIDE!  Yes, her quarantine is finally over. While she is the only negative case among all of us, she's the one that the doctors wanted to keep an eye on since she did not develop any symptoms while the rest of us got sick.  So just to be safe, they placed her on quarantine for another 2 weeks after my quarantine was over since I was the last to get sick.  Thankfully, she did not develop any symptoms and now she's free to enjoy the outdoors.

Where she wants to go after a month of being couped up was humorous though probably obvious as a teenager.  Her to go list was Old Navy, then to Miniso and lastly, Hot Topic!  Yep...shopping! So off we went INDOORS, to an empty mall (as most mall are nowadays, post-COVID) to shop, shop, shop!

Old Navy was a typical seasonal shopping spree but lately my bill is getting bigger and bigger.  The girls are definitely making up for all my thrifting when they were younger.  Now that they are teenagers, they still like to thrift but they also spend a hefty sum in regular stores so I only take them there twice a year.  One hour and over $600 later (yes, $600), we are off to our next stop Miniso.  Myka's been into penguins lately because of Sunghoon of Enhypen.  He's a genuine ice prince and thus the penguin reference.  She found a little stuffie and a sleeping mask since she said her big sis keeps her up at night with her lights on (Mer is admittedly nocturnal so she does not sleep until 3 or 4 in the morning).  Mer, the minimalist, just wanted a wallet for herself.

After a Boba break (of course), they're last shopping stop is Hot Topic.  Typically they come here for merch so that's what they were looking for.  They both ended up with a mixed bag of Totoro clothing, japanese t-shirts, stickers and a BT21 earing set for Mer.  It's typical for this age I guess since I remember being just as crazy for merch like these at their age.  Thankfully, for this store and the last, they have their own money to spend.  However, the youngest was more conscious than usual with her spending since she said she wanted to use some of her funds for supplies for her shop. Wow!!! I can't get over the fact that she is a business owner now herself!  (Proud momma moment)

Exhausted from walking since this is the first time in while that we walked that much, we grabbed dinner - poke bowls for me and Mer from a new place at the mall, and the typical choice for Myk - cheese burgers (from McDonald's this time), then we parked at Lake Elizabeth to have a waterfront view while we enjoy our food.  Ironically, people all around us where exercising - walking, biking, running while we stuffed ourselves after a long day shopping.  Not much healthy activity today for sure but we had a good day nonetheless.

I guess I'll just have to make we get some outdoor time tomorrow!
