Old Fashion Fun

A hidden gem near our home is a traditional farm which operates like the old days, complete with a staff in period costumes and activities to match the bygone eras.  It's a great way to learn what was like then and to experience the hard work of producing quality food that's often disregarded in our day where automated farming and ecological wonders both amazing and disastrous are the new norm.  It's an experience that the girls enjoy though our visit today was more fun than work since it's a weekday and most of the farms activities are low key. 

However, we did get to enjoy some old fashion games and we got to feed and observe the animals to our hearts content.  After which, the girls got paid for their hard work with an ear of real popcorn!

We have to come back again to experience the full scope of the farm with all it's excitement and activities.  But today was not one to be missed either....oh, what fun!!!
