Library Day

Last year, Mer was privileged to be part of a special program in our local library to read with a high school buddy once a week throughout the school year.  This year, I registered both girls to be part of that same program again. It gave us a bit of structure then and it will mean a lot to our new homeschooling routine this year to spend time at our libraries each week. 

 

Today was just to restart the routine for the year.  The program will not commence until October but since our schoolwork also includes reading books related to their themed learning for these first two weeks, I figured this would also be the opportunity to check out our books and videos for the week.

 

And since our old rhythm did include park time on Tuesdays....that was resumed as well.  Overall, it was a productive, well balanced school day....so far, so good!
