Boba Anywhere

With temperatures dipping into the 90's, the last place you would want to go is in the valley.  But being able to spend time with brothers and sisters in other congregations is a privilege that we drop everything for, no matter what the mercury says.  So when Mo was scheduled to go to Tracy for a talk, we were happy to oblige!

It was definitely a scorcher but relief came through neon-colored, somewhat enchanting and definitely unique flavors of Pop - a boba place we found through Yelp. Boba drinks is our latest trend craving.

We went through days when all we want are Starbucks Fraps, then there's Yogurtland but now it's boba.  Everyone has their favorite shops but everyone is happy no matter where it comes from as long as there's boba!

So today was no different and discovering a new place with new flavors was an additional treat.  Ickey will almost always go for the traditional Milk Tea with DOUBLE boba and extra lychee jelly but today she was curious enough to ask me to get another flavor so that we could "share." It's called Butterfly Lover....I don't remember what's in it except it has calamansi juice which is a citrus most popular in the Philippines. The added heart shaped jelly was another reason why Ickey was especially please with it and it did taste really good.

Mer was delighted to learn that she can have 2 for 1 with a "split boba" cup.  She was not as adventurous with her selections though and was a little dissapointed when she realized later on that there was a lavender flavor in the menu and she did not took the opportunity to get it.

Mo gave his talk outline for the year so this would be the 4th time I think that we heard it.  He's more comfortable with it by now which is evident in his delivery.  It's a small congregation and we were greeted warmly and enjoyed a mini reunion of sorts since some from our old congregation were there.

Afterwards, more than half of the congregation came with us for a Korean dinner.  It was nice to bond with them and we got to know even the littlest ones who still prefer their Tita Rose (who came to visit as well) more than anyone else.

To cap off a great day, we decided to go back to Pop so that the girls (who really wanted to come back) can have another round of drinks and because they are paying for it with their own money...it's all good!

Yah...the weather was extreme but we had a cool day nonetheless!
