Last Visit

This past week was a whirlwind of activity as we welcome back our Circuit Overseer and his wife for their last visit to our congregation before they move on to their new assignment in SoCal. More than our CO though, Don and Imee have been our friends since our single days so the friendship among us run deep and we will certainly miss them much. The girls have also become fond of them, especially Imee as she's been naturally drawn to the young ones by nature.  She well loved by ours and the feeling is mutual for our small army of young ones who literally grew up before their eyes and are now pursuing greater spiritually goals individually.  We hope of course, that may will follow in their footsteps with whatever time left we have in this system of things.

We opted for a series of small celebrations to bid them bon voyage.  The sisters had an all girls small bites party at the Lontocs where we celebrated with plenty of "small" bites, a few drinks and desserts with a touch of alcohol and a couple of crazy games that gave us all a tummy ache from all the laughs!  It was an awesome send off!

As for the brothers, they opted to have a low key dinner with  Don after their Elders and MS meeting and I'm sure they had some bonding time as well. Our young ones had their chance to enjoy our dear couple on Saturday at our farewell picnic at the park.  Unfortunately, Don was not feeling well due to a stiff neck that's been bothering him for a while so they did not stay long enough to enjoy the volleyball game and the dancing that transpired afterwards and not to mention all the food!

Sunday was a short farewell with the last 2 talks at their last meeting with us.  Understandably, we ended just like we began the week with a lot of pictures taken with our couple. So much so that there was actually a line to have their picture taken with them!

They still have 10 weeks in NorCal and a bunch of theocratic activities yet to happen throughout that time period.  So we will still have a chance to spend time with them before they move. They will be dearly missed for sure!
