Let There Be Music

Instruments playing in the background while we chat away and enjoy each other's company...that's how it was during the jamming days when Mo and the other elders decided to form a "band" of sorts to practice, learn and be encouraged.  Just a random get together that ended up being the catalyst to other great things like the Live Singing Party we enjoyed during the early years of our congregation. We miss that and now we're glad we can enjoy it again.  Most of the original "band" has moved on to other assignments in the organization.  Kuya Jim and Ate Tona are in Concord now, Marc is now married and in Connecticut and Jerry is back in Hawaii so Mo is the lone survivor of the original group which now varies depending on who makes it in this usually impromtu gathering of sorts just to play, sing and enjoy music.  This time though it crosses the barrier of being just part of the Fremont Congregation. Our host, Kuya Mike Lorenzo and his family are from Milpitas and we gather there at every chance we get.

The children are not exempted of course, each one also possessing their own musical talents and tends to favor the ukelele for now but also dabbles with the guitar, the precussion box and the drums. Singing of course in a must and the Beatles Anthology is in constant replay.

It's a great way to unwind and end a usually busy and full weekend in the ministry.  I'm glad it's back and better than ever!
