"The earth needs to drink too."

It's been pouring cats and dogs!!!  It seems Fall missed the memo and gave way to Winter instead.  As much as I enjoy the cooler weather, I'm not such a big fan of the wet and muddy.  My children on the other hand, find the extra gear more exciting than cumbersome and their perspective is as refreshing as the first rain of the season.

Mer (quoted above) has a lot of wisdom for a five year old and since we had quite a few hot days before this change of weather, she probably figured that the earth was plenty thirsty.  Perhaps if we see it the way she does, it would make us feel differently about the muddy footprints across our living room floor......or not. :)
